Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Sarvajiv Hitavah Trust India has established Shree Dharmajivan Mission Australia as further non-profit fundraising arm of the Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Sarvajiv Hitavah Trust India family.
Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Sarvajiv Hitavah Trust was founded in 1948 by Shastri Shree Dharmajivandasji Swami, a profound philanthropist and scholar for disadvantaged rural kids. To expand the hand of help towards all layers of society, not only in the field of education but health, environment, calamity relief work, water harvesting, animal welfare, de-addiction and other social services too, he observed all social works under Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Sarvajiv Hitavah Trust in 1967. The first school housed with 7 boys. Purani Shree Premprakashdasji Swami and Pujya Shree Jogi Swamji joined into the project and worked with nearby villagers, farmers and doctors to provide schooling, boarding and healthcare for the group.
Now over 6-7 decades later, under the leadership of Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Sarvajiv Hitavah Trust India has grown to include various projects spread over Gujarat state, aiding over 6,000 children. By 2025, the goal is to be taking care of at least 10,000 children.
SGVP India's mission is simple : Education and Health for All Children and financially disadvantaged families.
Shree Dharmajivan Mission Australia is a growing organisation which will work with the trustees of Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Sarvajiv Hitavah Trust India with fundraising activities to support the existing projects in Gujarat, India and create new educational facilities for needy children.
